Indy police look for man who parachuted from building

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Police in Indianapolis are looking for a man who apparently parachuted from the top of a 21-story public housing building.

A police report says a tenant at the Barton Tower Apartments in downtown Indianapolis saw a man with an orange or red parachute fly off the roof and land in a nearby street early in the morning Sept. 16. The man was picked up by a sport-utility vehicle that quickly drove off.

Maintenance workers found the roof door pried open. Surveillance video from the lobby showed a man with a shoulder bag signing in to visit a nonexistent apartment and then taking the elevator to the 21st floor.

The man is wanted for questioning regarding criminal trespass and damage to government property.
