One year after Ball State University started its "Ball State Bold: Investing in the Future" campaign to raise $200 million by 2011, it has obtained 88 percent of its goal, the university announced Friday.
In commemoration of the $176,157,807 raised so far, Ball State has already updated its Web site's homepage.
In the last four months funding to Ball State Bold has increased by about $6 million. The university announced at the end of the Spring Semester that it had $170.2 million - 85 percent to its goal of $200 million.
The campaign was created to upgrade student recruitment efforts, offer more immersive learning experiences, create scholarships and make other campus improvements.
