Ball State University men's golfer Ross Cosat has been named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar Team.

Cosat is one of 108 players to be named to the team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

In order to qualify for the team, golfers must have a minimum 3.2 grade point average, an average under 76.0 strokes per match and compete in at least 70 percent of the team's matches.

The marketing and finance major owns a 3.478 GPA and had an average of 75.63 strokes per match last season.

Last season, Cosat posted two top 10 finishes for the Cardinals, sixth at the Ball State Cardinal Collegiate, which Ball State won, and ninth at the Michigan State Fossum Invitational.

Cosat is the 24th men's golfer at Ball State to receive this award and the first since three members did 2007 and an nation high did in 2006.

Cosat and the men's golf team will return to action September 12-13 at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville.
