The dean of Ball State University's Teachers College will be honored with a reception from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Museum of Art.
The event, which will be held in the Sculpture Garden at the museum, will mark Roy Weaver's approaching retirement as dean.
Provost Terry King will be making a small speech at 4:45 p.m. on behalf of Weaver's dedication and time spent at Ball State.
Weaver, who has been dean since 1993, will remain a faculty member in the Department of Educational Studies.
A fund has been established for the Roy Weaver Scholarship, which will be awarded to education students. Donations to the scholarship fund can be made at the Ball State Foundations Office to account number 8870.
