BSU receives three-year research grant

Ball State University will be receiving a grant for more than $210,000 to study diabetes, endocrinology and related metabolic research.

U.S. Congressman Mike Pence made the announcement Monday on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services.

"I want to commend Ball State University on earning this grant award for neurological research," Pence stated in a press release. "This substantial grant award is a testament to the efforts of the faculty and staff as well as the national reputation of Ball State University in the area of scientific research."

The three-year grant at Ball State will begin funding the project on July 20.
