SOFTBALL: Milian throws one-hitter shutout in Ball State win

The Ball State University Cardinals softball team handed Kent State University its first Mid-American Conference loss of the season Saturday.

Elizabeth Milian led the Cardinals from the mound pitching a one-hit shutout in the 1-0 victory. Milian had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning before pinch hitter Lauren Brocklehurst singled for Kent State's only hit.

Milian finished the game with five strikeouts.

Lisa Rozanski scored the lone Ball State run in the sixth inning.

Ball State will conclude its series with Kent State starting 1 p.m. Sunday at the Ball State Softball Complex.
