The Ball State University softball team set two school records Friday in a doubleheader against the University of Akron.
In the first game, Lisa Rozanski started things off for the Cardinals with a single. During the next at bat, Rozanski stole the 71st base of her career, setting the Ball State record.
The Cardinals tacked up 14 more hits while scoring seven runs in the 7-3 victory.
In the second game, Jen Reifschneider hit her ninth home run of the season, which set the school record. The solo home run was the only Cardinal run to cross the plate, as the team lost 2-1.
The Cardinals' record now stands at 24-22 (14-3 MAC). The team will next be in action today when it travels to Athens, Ohio, to take on Ohio University. The first pitch will be at 2 p.m.
