Second UPB Easter Extravaganza today

Children in the Muncie and Ball State University communities can hunt for eggs and meet the Easter Bunny today in the Quad.

Samantha Maples, program director for University Program Board, said UPB's second annual Easter Extravaganza will have activities aimed at children but will also attract students.

Easter egg hunts will be divided into four age groups, she said, and children can get their faces painted, play games and get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Maples said UPB will provide free pizza and candy for students and a tie-dye booth for everyone.

She said UPB enjoyed doing this event last year because it's the only one that lets members interact with people outside campus. She said last year's extravaganza had about 500 children and she expects more today.

Maples said the event should be better than last year because this year UPB has experience running the event.

Activities start at 5 p.m. and last until 7:30 and are free for anyone, she said.
