MEN'S TENNIS: Cardinals lose final home match, regular season conference title

The Ball State University men's tennis team lost the final four singles matches in three sets against Northern Illinois University giving the Huskies the win Saturday. The 4-3 loss eliminates any chance Ball State had of winning the Mid-American Conference title.

Ball State won the doubles point and the first two singles matches to enter the final four matches with a 3-0 lead. The Huskies rallied to win four three-set matches.

Freshman Cliff Morrison and senior Jorge Rodriguez won the only singles matches for Ball State.

Senior Jose Perdomo, freshman Andres Monroy and sophomores Eduardo Pavia and Shaun Bussert all lost in three sets.

It was the final home match for the Cardinals, who will travel to Buffalo for the MAC beginning on Thursday.
