Circle K to put on Teeter-Totter-a-Thon

Ball State University's Circle K will raise money for five local charities today using two giant teeter totters.

Circle K President Nicole Harris said the group will have it's Teeter-Totter-a-Thon from noon to 7 p.m. on University Green.

People can pay $1 to ride the teeter totters and choose one of five charities to give their money to, she said. The event will benefit Motivate Our Minds, Ronald McDonald House, Riley Children's Hospital, March of Dimes and the Animal Rescue Fund.

Harris said the Teeter-Totter-a-Thon was used as a fundraiser for a local charity in past years. The group wanted to do a bigger event this year which benefitted multiple charities.

Participants will receive stickers that say "I teeter-tottered at my own risk," she said.

Harris wants to raise at least $50 for each charity, she said.
