Another stellar performance from Ball State University center fielder Jeremy Hazelbaker earned him another Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week on Monday.
The award was the third for Hazelbaker this year, and is the only player with multiple conference awards this season.
Hazelbaker became the first Cardinal to hit for the cycle in six years Friday, performing the feat in his first four at bats. On the week, he hit .538 and had a 1.625 slugging percentage in a two-game weekend series split with Kent State University.
Overall, Hazelbaker is hitting .443 with a .670 slugging percentage and 13 stolen bases.
A Cardinal has been included in the MAC awards in all six weeks of the season. Freshman first baseman Ian Nielsen and junior left fielder Kory Benbow were named MAC West Players of the Week, and junior Brad Piatt and sophomore Kolbrin Vitek have been MAC West Pitchers of the Week.
