March 1, 2003Win No. 1Ball State 4, Evansville 3The Cardinals traveled to Memphis, Tenn., to play the Purple Aces. Mike Johnson pitched 6 2/3 innings for the victory and Andrew Anderson finished the game to close out Beals' first win.

May 21, 2005Win No. 100Ball State 8, Wright State 0In the second game of a doubleheader against the Raiders at Ball Diamond, Ryan DeGeeter allowed one hit in five innings to win Beals' 100th game on Senior Day. Marc Franz hit a two-run double in the first inning to start the scoring and help the hosts sweep the doubleheader.

May 26, 2006Win No. 139Ball State 7, Kent State 4The Cardinals defeated the Golden Flashes to win their first Mid-American Conference Tournament. Kyle Dygert hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give Ball State the lead for good. The win sent Ball State to the NCAA Tournament for the first time as a Division I program and for the first time since 1969.

June 2, 2006Win No. 140Ball State 3, Kentucky 1In the first game of the NCAA Regional, the Cardinals upset No. 8 Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. Starting pitcher Ben Snyder threw eight innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out nine. The game was tied at one in the eighth inning before right fielder Justin Rogers drove in two runs with a single. Closer Kyle Heyne pitched a hitless ninth inning to save the upset.

March, 28, 2009Win No. 200Ball State 4, Kent State 2The first two Cardinal batters scored to give the hosts a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Starting pitcher Brenden Stines pitched six innings and allowed two runs to earn the win. Third baseman Kolbrin Vitek broke a 2-2 tie with a leadoff home run in the fifth inning. Shortstop T.J. Baumet added a home run in the sixth to give the Cardinals all the runs they would need. Closer Morgan Coombs pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the save.
