Ball State University guard Kiley Jarrett was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week on Monday.
The 5-foot 4-inch guard scored a career-high 21 points in a 71-67 win against Central Michigan University on Sunday on the road. Jarrett shot 58.3 percent from the field, including 5-of-9 from behind the arc. She also was perfect from the free-throw line.
Jarrett played 39 of the 40 minutes in the game, and her defensive steal and fast break lay-up in the final minute of regulation helped seal the win for the Cardinals. The win improved Ball State to 18-8 overall and a 10-2 record in the MAC, which is best in the West Division.
Jarrett averages 10.8 points per MAC game, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 43.9 percent from behind the arc. She averages 5.2 assists per game and averages 36.27 minutes per game for the season - both are second best in the MAC.
The Ball State will play Eastern Michigan University at 7 p.m. tonight in the Convocation Center.
