The wireless network encountered a few small problems on its first day utilizing the new software.
Minor connection difficulties, load issues and a few other isolated events have been reported. Alex Chalmers, lead enterprise and security architect said nothing unexpected has happened.
"Whenever you deploy a new system there is always the chance that something can come up," Chalmers said. "If you have a problem, please notify the help desk."
Chalmers said the issues could also be a result of increased site traffic.
"We are working through those problems in a responsible way," he said. "I don't think that there's anything we could have gone out of our way to plan for. There has not been any outages. Minor connection difficulties and isolated events that we've been trying to address to date."
