- Ball State received six votes - two more than last week - and is listed at No. 17. In the last coaches poll, though, the Cardinals were listed at No. 16
- This the third consecutive week Ball State has remained out of the coaches poll after being No. 12 in the preseason.
- The Cardinals are on a four-match winning streak, including two sweeps against Division III teams during the weekend.
- Penn State dropped out of the No. 1 ranking for the first time this season after losing to Loyola on Friday.n Pepperdine received its first No. 1 ranking since February 2007.
- Three teams from the MIVA were ranked in the top 15.
- Lewis moved up two spots to No. 10. Loyola jumped back into the poll at No. 14 after beating then-No. 1 Penn State and St. Francis last week. Ohio State stayed at No. 15 for the second straight week.
- George Mason was the only team to drop out of the poll from last week. The Patriots received 11 votes and are listed at No. 16 following a loss to Juniata on Thursday.
