Even though the road conditions on I-69 have been hazardous throughout the day, classes have yet to be significantly influenced Tuesday.
More than 120 cars were involved in accidents on I-69 southbound between mile markers five and 34, Pendleton State Police Lt. Clint Bundy said. Bundy said the worst accident today, which involved more than 30 cars and two fatalities, occurred at about mile marker eight. The accident closed Exit 10 for several hours.
There was another pileup Tuesday afternoon that involved at least 30 cars and shut down Exit 45 southbound for two hours. The accident involved no fatalities.
According to a press release given in the past hour, there have been 11 slide-off accidents and five property damage crashes in Delaware County on Tuesday afternoon. No injuries have been reported in Delaware County.
