Five days after breaking a school record, a freshman on the Ball State University women's swimming and diving team received another honor.
Freshman Emily Haifley was named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday.
Haifley broke the Ball State record for the 200-yard breaststroke by almost two seconds in a meet against Eastern Michigan University on Saturday.
This is the second time the freshman has won the MAC weekly award. Haifley won the award Dec. 17.
Ball State's next meet will be against Ohio University on Saturday in Athens, Ohio.
