The Ball State University football team will not be the only squad on campus to get some airtime on the ESPN family of networks this year.
Matt McCollester, assistant director of communications for Ball State, released Wednesday that the Ball State men's basketball team will have two games picked up as part of the ESPN Full Court Package, which includes Sunday's game at Worthen Arena against the University of Toledo and on Feb. 4 at Miami University.
ESPN televised eight Ball State football games this season.
McCollester also said that The Ball State Sports Network, anchored by WIPB in Muncie (Comcast channel 2), is also picking up seven additional televised games for the rest of the season for the men's team and one game for the women's basketball squad to add to the four games the network has already aired this season.
Those men's games include Sunday's matchup against Toledo, Jan. 31 against Ohio University, Feb. 4 at Miami, Feb. 15 against the University at Buffalo, Feb. 28 at Northern Illinois University, March 4 at Western Michigan University and March 8 against Eastern Michigan University.
The women's game at home against Miami on Jan. 31 was also picked up by BSSN.
The men's basketball team sits at 8-8 overall and is tied with Western Michigan for first in the Mid-American West Division with a 3-1 MAC record. The women's team is also in first place in the MAC West with a 4-0 league record and is 11-6 overall.
