After about 50 years in one location, Michael and Mary Concannon expanded Concannon's Pastry Shop to a second store on Morrison Road on Wednesday.
"It's been in the same family for 50 years now," co-owner Mary Concannon said. "You don't see that very much anymore. Mike prides himself on making his doughnuts big, larger than what you see at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts."
Co-owner Michael Concannon said the new location features various flavors of gourmet candy and popcorn; Concannon's Old Fashioned Ice Cream; a deli offering pasta, soup and sandwiches; a coffee bar that can serve a combination of 500 drinks and a full bakery.
Main Street Coffee and Candy Company, owned by the Concannons, makes the coffee, candy and popcorn, he said.
The new shop has more seating as well, Michael Concannon said. A patio will seat up to 30 during warm weather months and the dining room will seat about 50.
