The Ball State University women's baskteball team lost Tuesday against University of Alabama 81-75. Ball State is 7-5.
Ball State trailed Alabama 45-27 at halftime. The team outscored Alabama 48-36 in the second half.
Ball State outscored Alabama in the paint 38-20, but were outscored in bench points 52-12.
Forward Danielle Gratton led Ball State with 18 points.
The Cardinals next game will be on the road against St. Louis University at 2 p.m. Jan. 4.
