The Ball State Campus Band performed Tuesday at Sursa Hall. A crowd of around 100 people turned out to watch the concert.
"I thought it went really well," conductor Don Linn said, "I thought they sounded really great."
According to Linn, the Campus Band is a group of mostly nonmusic major students who meet once a week. The concert was broken down into three ensembles conducted by Scott Hippensteel, Don Linn and Charles Reader.
Along with the Campus Band, the Ball State band program also has a Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Ceremonial Band, Summer Band, "Pride of Mid-America" Marching Band, Basketball Band and other bands for athletic events. The bands are open to all Ball State students, as well as music majors. The Campus Band was added to the program in the fall semester of 2007. The band rehearses once a week and performs once a semester.
