In the 2008 college football season, Co-Sports Editors Vinnie Lopes and Kyle Shaner and a guest will pick the winners involving MAC teams. This week's guest is Logan Braman, DN chief designer.
Buffalo (6-4, 4-2 MAC) at Bowling Green (5-5, 3-3 MAC)6 p.m. Time Warner Cable Sports Network
A win against Bowling Green would clinch the first outright MAC East championship for Buffalo in the program's history. A 43-40 victory against Akron last week improved the Bulls to 6-4 on the season and made them bowl eligible for the first time since the program entered NCAA Division I-A football in 1999. Buffalo has never played in a bowl game as the Bulls declined an invitation to the Tangerine Bowl in 1958 after the Orlando High School Athletic Association would not allow the team's two black players to compete in the game.

Miami (2-8, 1-5 MAC) at Toledo (2-8, 1-5 MAC)7:07 p.m.
With two games remaining in the season, 2-8 Toledo is in danger having its least amount of wins since 1978 when it went 2-9 on the season. The Rockets' opponent, Miami, is also having one of its worst seasons in recent history. Like the Rockets, the RedHawks have won two games. They were held to two victories in 2006 and have not had fewer wins since 1988, when they went 0-10-1. The last time Toledo and Miami combined for five wins or fewer for a season was in 1931, when Miami won four games and Toledo did not compete in football.

Eastern Michigan (2-8, 1-5 MAC) at Temple (3-7, 2-4 MAC)1 p.m. Saturday
Temple enters Saturday's game with a 3-7 record while its opponent, Eastern Michigan, is 2-8. After a two-week hiatus, the Eagles will look to break their four-game losing streak. The Eagles have never beaten the Owls though, as Temple has a 3-0 advantage in the series history.

Western Michigan (9-2, 6-1 MAC) at No. 17 Ball State (11-0, 7-0 MAC)7 p.m. Tuesday ESPN2
Ball State will attempt to finish its perfect season in front of a national audience Tuesday. The 11-0 Cardinals will play host to Western Michigan, which is fighting for a MAC West championship, in their fourth consecutive game on ESPN2. A win would guarantee Ball State a spot in the MAC Championship game, while a loss would give Western Michigan or Central Michigan the MAC West title. Representatives from the Orange and Fiesta bowls have watched the Cardinals play this season, but a loss would knock them out of BCS consideration.
