Friday: Doc's Music Hall will feature the bands Losing September and Malachai at 10 p.m. (21+)Joel Levi will be headlining at The Living Room. Opening for Joel will be Geoff Koch. Doors open at 8 p.m. and show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $3
Saturday: Doc's Music Hall will feature the band Blues Funk Project at 10 p.m. (21+)
Watermelon Bust
Friday: Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Delta Tau Delta fraternity will host this year's Watermelon Bust 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at LaFollette Field. Check-in for registered teams begins at 9 a.m. The event is open to all campus organizations and will raise donations for victims of domestic violence and Adopt-A-School.
Late Nite Jamboree
Join in on the jamboree for a down-home, country-style Late Nite 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday in Irving Gym. This week's themed activities feature square dancing, mechanical bull riding, cattle lassoing and country and bluegrass music. As always, free food, music, arts and crafts will be open for additional entertainment. Cost is free for all Ball State students with a valid ID and $5 for guests.
Friday Night Filmworks movie: 'Get Smart'
Ball State University Friday Night Filmworks will present 2008's "Get Smart" tonight at Pruis Hall. The film is a modern adaptation of the 1960s spy/comedy television series starring Don Adams and Barbara Feldon. Replacing Adams and Feldon are Steve Carell ("The Office," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin") and Anne Hathaway ("Brokeback Mountain," "The Devil Wears Prada") as Maxwell Smart and Agent 99, respectively. Max and Agent 99 work for an organization called CONTROL and team up to take on CONTROL's archenemy, KAOS. The film also stars Alan Arkin, Terence Stamp, James Caan, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and The Great Khali. Showtime for "Get Smart" is 9 p.m. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Ball State students get in free with ID while guests will be charged one dollar.
