Carter's Famous Hot Dogs' competitor was asked to leave campus Thursday because he did not have proper permits to sell merchandise on Ball State University grounds.
Ryan Webb, 31, was asked to leave Ball State's campus Thursday afternoon after a complaint was made about where he parked his sport utility vehicle.
His cart, named "Webb's Diggity Dogs," stood in front of the North Quad building between 1 and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Webb parked his SUV next to the building.
He sold his "fully loaded" hot dogs for $2.50, or $3.50 for a hot dog, chips and a drink. Even though he had a Delaware County permit, a vending permit and a health permit, police said he has to sell off Ball State grounds until he obtains a permit issued by the university.
