Student arrested in connection with Friday shooting

Muncie Police arrested a Ball State University student in connection with the Friday shooting of three people - two of whom Ball State students.

According to the Delaware County Jail, senior Izes Cross is being held without bond after he was arrested Monday evening on charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, aggrevated battery and confinement.

Muncie Police responded to reports of a shooting at about 10:30 p.m. Friday at 202 N. Dill St. The three victims suffered gunshot wounds to their legs and were released from Ball Memorial Hospital later in the weekend.

According to previous Daily News reports, Cross was arrested this summer on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and battery on a law enforcement officer after a fight at Irving Gym.
