WEEK 6 at TOLEDOSCORE 31-0Ball State had its first shutout since 2000. After the win, Ball State received the No. 25 ranking in the AP Poll, its first national ranking in history.

WEEK 7 at W. KENTUCKYSCORE 24-7Despite a season-low 155 passing yards and 355 total yards, the Cardinals scored 17 second-half points to beat the Hilltoppers. Ball State moved up one spot in the AP Poll to No. 24 following the win.
