Ball State continues eco-friendly stance by installing new lights in Shafer Tower

Shafer Tower goes green

Shafer Tower has been using metal halide light bulbs even since construction was finished on it in 2002.
  • Shafer Tower is now lit how it was originally planned; the immense amount of power required for metal halide light bulbs had prevented this lighting.
  • The LED lights weren't installed originally because LED technology was not available until 2005.
