WOMEN'S TENNIS: Eastern Michigan sweeps Ball State

Cardinals travel to Toledo for Saturday's match

The Ball State University women's tennis team (8-7, 1-3 MAC) was shutout for the third time in four matches in its 7-0 conference loss at Eastern Michigan University on Friday.

The No. 3 doubles team of sophomore Katherine Rist and junior Emma Retter were the first off the courts with an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles. This was the only win the Cardinals could muster against the Eagles (6-11, 2-2 MAC), which won at the final two doubles spots before sweeping through singles play.

Ball State continues its weekend road trip today when it travels to the University of Toledo (11-5, 2-2 MAC), which lost 6-1 to MAC leader Miami University on Friday.
