MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals fall to No. 10 in coaches poll

For the second consecutive week, the Ball State University men's volleyball team moved down in the coaches poll.

The Cardinals (19-9, 10-2 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) dropped two spots to No. 10 in the top-15 coaches poll released Monday.

Last week Ball State went 1-1, with a four-game loss to No. 9 Ohio State University on Thursday and a four-game win against No. 15 Lewis University on Saturday to end its regular season.

Ohio State, which clinched the MIVA regular season title after beating Ball State, stayed at No. 9, but received 13 more votes in this week's poll. In addition, the Buckeyes (18-7, 11-1 MIVA) are the highest ranked team in the MIVA for the first time since March 3.

The Cardinals begin the conference tournament with their quarterfinal match against last-place Quincy University at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Worthen Arena.
