Trailing most of the way, Ball State's women's basketball team dropped its first game in the Mid-American Conference Tournament 65-60 to Toledo on Tuesday night.
After clinching its second consecutive MAC West Division title in their final regular season game Wednesday, the Cardinals' season ended with their second loss of the season to the Rockets. The loss snapped Ball State's five-game winning streak, its longest of the season.
Junior captain Kiley Jarrett led Ball State offensively with 13 points. Sophomore guard Audrey McDonald also posted double figures with 11.
Toledo's senior guard Ta'Yani Clark paced the Rockets with 25 points. Lisa Johnson added 15 to Toledo's offensive production.
