King

Kyle Johnson

Senior Kyle Johnson did not do any campaigning to become Ball State University's Homecoming King.

"I was surprised and excited," Johnson said. "It's an honor to win."

He said making the top 10 was a big shock for him, and he did not expect to go further.

Johnson is a political science major and an economics minor.

He plans to attend law school after he graduates at the end of the year, he said, and eventually become a lawyer or run for public office.

"I want to possibly go to the University of Michigan, but I'm applying to other schools as well," Johnson said.

Johnson is a Ball State Student Government Association senator and is also a part of Student Volunteer Services and Phi Sigma Alpha fraternity.

He attended Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne for two years before transferring to Ball State.

"I wanted to get the campus feel and I liked the size," Johnson said. "It's not too far from home either."

Johnson likes Mexican food and he enjoys watching the television show "Family Guy."

Queen

Lyndsey Adams

Sophomore Lyndsey Adams was surprised and excited to be crowned Ball State University's Homecoming Queen at Thursday's Air Jam.

"I was just shocked," Adams said. "I really didn't expect it at all."

Adams is a nursing major with a Spanish minor and wants to attend graduate school and eventually become a nurse practitioner.

"I want to eventually work for Riley Hospital for Children in Indiana," Adams said. "I want to work with children."

Adams is a representative for Botsford/Swinford Hall Council as well as a Relay for Life coach and a volunteer for Southern Care Hospice.

The nursing program is what attracted her to Ball State, Adams said.

"I liked the size of the nursing school as well as the size of the whole campus," Adams said. "It's not too big and not too small but I still get all the opportunities that a big school offers and the professors still know me."

Adams' favorite television show is "Golden Girls" and she enjoys eating anything chocolate.
