GMAC Financial Services and Ball State University is sponsoring a giveaway for a student to win a $1,000 scholarship.
Chris Taylor, director of Athletics, Communication and Marketing, said students who sign up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Scramble Light will receive a wrist band. Before Saturday's game, students who take the wrist band to the GMAC stand will get a red "Game on" T-shirt," he said. The rowdiest, craziest fan will be chosen at halftime to win a $1,000 scholarship.
Every student who enters will have a chance to win a 2008 Chevy Malibu, which the student can trade in for $20,000 toward any GM car, Taylor said.
"[It's] an effort by the [athletics department] to show students how important their support is to us," he said.
