PARKING SERVICES: Department offers free motorist help

The Ball State University Department of Public Safety operates Motorist Assist Program. It is a free service, but motorists must sign a waiver that states the university will not be held liable for any vehicle damage. The service offers:

Jump startUnlocking of vehicle doorsAir in tires (vehicle and bike)Transportation to buy gasDe-icer for frozen locksShovel and abrasives for vehicles stuck on snow or ice

The service is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. MAP is operated 5 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. For assistance, call (765) 285-1111.
