Mills returns after accident left him with concussion

For the first time since being diagnosed with a concussion on Feb. 12, senior Skip Mills practiced with Ball State University's men's basketball team on Tuesday.

Mills said his concussion happened when the vehicle he was in was hit from behind days before the Cardinals played the University at Buffalo in Worthen Arena.

Although he did not hit his head on anything in the car, the whiplash the collision caused resulted in a bruise on his brain, causing the concussion.

Mills has dealt with a plethora of injuries this season, including tendinitis of the knee that limited his playing time early in the season.

"I was getting dizzy sometimes if I was doing simple things like watching TV," Mills said. "It was definitely a different kind of injury. I definitely don't want to experience it again."

Mills is still suffering from mild headaches, but has been cleared by doctors to play against Central Michigan University on Thursday.
