The seven-game losing streak is finally over for the Ball State University women's volleyball team.
The Cardinals snapped the streak with a 3-2 win over Western Michigan University Saturday night. The win was the first for Ball State since Sept. 30, when they beat the University of Buffalo.
The Cardinals lost to Mid-American Conference leader Northern Illinois 3-1 on Friday.
Kelly Cochran and Amanda McCormick stood out for the Cardinals over the weekend. McCormick had 40 digs versus the Huskies, which kept her on track for an average of seven digs per game for the season. McCormick would be the second player in NCAA Division I history to accomplish that feat.
Fellow senior Cochran ended the weekend with 28 kills. She is now 18 kills away from 1,200 for her career.
