After finishing the first half 12-31, the Ball State University football team came back to finish 26-34 against University of Michigan - the second ranked team in the nation.
Although the Ball State football team is often laughed at, the scare the Wolverines got Saturday was serious.
The football team deserves credit for its performance.

The women's soccer team lost 1-2 against Miami University during the quarter-final match of the Mid-American Conference Tournament. During the second half, though, Ball State out-shot Miami 16-7.
The women's field hockey team lost 1-2 against Ohio University during overtime in the MAC Tournament Championship. Midfielder Tara Reed scored a goal to tie with 37 seconds left in the game. Goalkeeper Caroline Lehman made nine saves, including one in overtime.
While the field hockey team lost nine of the first 10 games, the Cardinals won five games straight to finish the regular season with a winning record for the first time since 1999.
Ball State sports teams are not winning every game, but they are holding their own - often against heavily favored opponents.
No one expected the football team to do well against Michigan - odds were not in the Cardinals' favor; but there were multiple players, including Darius Hill, Nate Davis and Dante Love, who played well and kept Ball State on Michigan's trail.
The final scores were not in favor of Ball State sports, but the teams played well.
