WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals fall in opening match

Ball State loses 3-0 to UW-Milwaukee

Experience ousted talent as the UW-Milwaukee Panthers defeated the Cardinal volleyball team 0-3 making for a tough beginning to the Bama Bash, the two-day tournament.

Ball State University fought hard in game one by surging to an 8-1 run and grabbing the lead at 22-20. Then, after the match went on to be tied at 28, two kills by the Panthers gave them the first game.

Game two was low-lighted by a season low in scoring for Ball State, which scored only 10 points in the entire set. The Cardinal bench was also given a yellow "warning" card during a dispute.

In game three the Panthers again went on to capitalize as they gained the early 10-6 lead before getting a 10 point advantage at 25-15. Game three's score was 30-22

The Cardinals look to avenge their loss at the expense of Alabama at 7 p.m.
