The Department of Anthropology will open its museum at 4 p.m. today in Burkhardt Building, room 300. Fifteen students, including five graduate students, will present displays about a diverse group of topics from the gastrointestinal parasites of the Vervet monkey to the ghosts of Muncie.
"It's a wide variety of things, but that just shows the spectrum of what anthropology covers," said Christina Blanch, a graduate student and instructor for the department.
Before the opening reception, eight students will give presentations on their topics of research. The department changes the displays annually, but the presentations are new to the opening reception activities.
The museum is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
