Gora, SGA discuss MITS Loop

The future of the MITS Loop remains uncertain, but Ball State University students will probably not see it again this semester, Student Government Association President Steve Geraci said.

At a meeting with Ball State President Jo Ann Gora on Monday, Geraci said they spoke about the Loop. While no decisions were made, he said Gora intends to look into it. Gora could not be reached for comment.

"I think it's going to be a drawn-out process because no one is really sure what the future of the situation is going to be until we do a lot more research, a lot more hashing out of the details," Geraci said.

Three plans for the Loop are on the table, ranging from 8 to 32 weeks. MITS wants the university to cover half the cost.

The next step is a meeting with administrators, students and MITS, Geraci said, but nothing will be set up until Gora speaks with other Ball State officials.

"Now we wait," Geraci said.
