The 14th annual Kappa Delta sorority philanthropic event, ShamRock 'N Bowl, will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Clancy's Village Bowl. The cost to bowl is $10 per person or $40 per team of four. The cost includes 3 games and shoes.
The proceeds collected benefit Prevent Child Abuse America and the Very Special Arts of Muncie.
Tiffany Rinker, co-chairwoman of ShamRock 'N Bowl, said 50-50 ticket raffle drawings will be offered and the winner last year won about $900. For every strike a person gets, the bowler can buy a $1 raffle ticket to win other prizes as well, she said.
Jessica Dinkelman, co-chairwoman of ShamRock 'N Bowl, said residents of the Muncie community, alumni and students are all invited to play. A time limit would be set on the three games because last year the games went too long, she said.
Rinker said people can pre-register at tables in the Atrium today and at the bowling alley tomorrow. About 27 teams have already pre-registered, she said.
"We had a really great time last year," Dinkelman said.
She said she hoped that this year they would be able to build more on community involvement.
