This is the first year that the Ball State University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to the All-American Invitational, played host to by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and marks the halfway point for the swimming season.
"We plan on having our best performances of the year at this meet and hope the competition helps to push us," co-coach Bob Thomas said.
The meet will be held on Friday and Saturday with teams from Ball State, Northern Colorado, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Butler, Valparaiso and IUPUI in attendance to compete.
"A meet like this shows our depth, and that is something that will really carry through for us in this meet," co-coach Laura Seibold-Caudill said.
That depth will come with strong swims or dives from Brittany Sayler, Mary Brinkoetter, Jenna Arnold, Megan Patterson, Addison Del Rio, Katie Boyle, and Paige Vernasco for the women's team and Kurtis Leer, Adam Konopka, Ritchie Caudill, Jim Lullo and Zach Whitaker for the men's team, along with the rest of the team.
