FOOTBALL: Linebacker garners weekly MAC award

Junior Brad Seiss was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week for his performance at Eastern Michigan.

Seiss led the Cardinals with 17 tackles including three for loss in Ball State University's 26-25 come-from-behind win.

For the season, he leads Ball State with 75 tackles. He also has one fumble recovery and one sack.

This is the third week in a row that a Ball State player was named MAC Player of the Week. Joshua Taylor was named MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week and helped the Cardinals to a 31-17 win at Northern Illinois with seven tackles and two sacks on Oct. 29. B.J. Hill was named MAC West Division Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a punt 54 yards for a touchdown in a Nov. 5 23-17 win over Akron.
