Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is holding a poker tournament at 2 p.m. in the Tally Student Center Saturday. All the proceeds made will be donated to the Red Cross for hurricane Katrina victims. Registration begins at 1 p.m., and the players need to be ready by 1:45 p.m. If a player can not make it by 2 p.m., they will be allowed to join during the re-buy periods that are the first four blinds, ending at 3:30 p.m. Players can also register at www.geocities/pmapoker.
The tournament is $5, unlimited re-buys are $5 and add-ons (at the end of the re-buy period) are $5. First place will receive dinner and a movie for two, as well as a $250 gift card from the poker site, bodog.com. Second and third place will receive $100 gift cards from bodog.com.
"We expect the tournament to be a lot of fun, while raising money for a good cause," Dan Broadbent from Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia said.
Last semester, this music fraternity nearly raised $1,000 for the Nathan's Battle Foundation, which is an Indianapolis-based charity fighting to cure Battens's disease.
