Cardinals hire new athletic chair

Ball State University has added a new assistant athletic trainer to the school's staff.

Casey Chambers took over the position vacated by Jenn Herod, who took a position at South Carolina this past summer.

Chambers previously served in a similar position at Tennessee-Chattanooga where she worked with several sports, including women's basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field and volleyball.

She also served as an instructor for the graduate athletic program and also instructed a class for non-majors.

Before heading to Chattanooga she worked as a grad assistant at Georgia, intern at the University of Alabama-Birmingham and was an undergraduate at Auburn University.
