10 Muncie destinations under $10

Local recreation great option for students over long weekend

For some students, Labor Day weekend means time for camping, fishing, visiting friends and family or just partying your head off.

But unfortunately, that’s not the case for everyone.

For others, it’s a holiday weekend in which they’re stranded in a kegless town, with gas prices so expensive they can’t afford to escape.

If money and entertainment is a major concern to you as this holiday weekend approaches, fear no more. Below is a list of 10 events for under $10 to keep you from dying of complete boredom over the long weekend.

1 Ball State Museum of Art: $0. It’s free, fun and there’s a great exhibit called “Art in the ‘Toon Age” that is focused on cartoon artwork. If you’re not into “toon” art, you can hallways catch up on the classics. Open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday. Not open Labor Day.
