Two junior members of the women's golf team were named to the Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC First Team.
Carmen Bodine and Katie Sundberg were both selected to the team. This is the first time each has received the honor.
Sundberg's honor comes less then a week after she finished as the top individual at the MAC Championships and was named to the All-MAC First team. Bodine also had a first-place finish this season in the Illini Spring Classic.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have a 3.2 grade point average and must have participated in at least half of the team's events.
This past semester, Sundberg had a perfect 4.0 GPA, while Bodine had a 3.53 GPA. Overall, before this semester began, Sundberg held a 3.86 GPA and Bodine held a 3.77 GPA.
