Ball State junior Carmen Bodine was honored as the Mid-American Conference's women's golfer of the week for her performance at the Illini Spring Classic.
Bodine finished second at the tournament after posting scores of 73 and 77, which put her and Illinois' Kristine Cook at 6 above par. Cook received the top individual honor because her low second-round score of 72 served as the tie-breaker.
Ball State as a team finished sixth at the tournament and has this weekend off to prepare the MAC Championship, which begins April 22.
This the second time this year Bodine has been honored as golfer of the week; she was also given the award April 12. She is the only player to win the award twice this season.
