WOMEN'S GOLF Ball State 15th at Indiana Invitational

The Ball State women's golf team placed 15th at the Indiana Invitational this weekend. Of the six Mid-American Conference schools, Ball State had the fourth-best score with 655.

Notre Dame won the event with a score of 620. Ohio had the best finish among MAC schools with a 635, while Toledo and Marshall finished with a 636. The Cardinals finished ahead of Eastern Michigan (673) and Bowling Green (695).

Originally, three rounds were to be played, two on Saturday and one on Sunday -- however, because of bad weather on Saturday, only one round was played. After that round, the Cardinals were in a tie for 14th place with a score of 335. Carmen Bodine had the teams low round on Saturday and finished in the team's top spot. Bodine's round of 80 on Sunday gave her a 162 total and put her in a tie for 34th.

Julie Harder and Katie Sundberg each had a low round of 79 on Sunday. The two were the teams' second- and third-best finishers, respectively. Harder shot an 84 on Saturday and finished in a tie for 38th, and Sundberg shot an 85 to finish in a tie for 48th.

Also competing for the Cardinals were Chelsie Flannery, who had rounds of 84 and 82, Ali Meyer, who had rounds of 86 and 82, Amber Uphaus, who had rounds of 93 and 86, and Holly Jones, who had rounds of 91 and 82.
