BASEBALL Weather cancels game against Indiana

Ball State's baseball game Wednesday at Indiana (12-4) was canceled because of inclement weather. No make up date has been set.

The Cardinals (9-9) are scheduled to open the Mid-American Conference season Friday, with the first of a three-game series against Bowling Green.

Friday's game is at 3 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday's games beginning at 1 p.m.

Junior Joe Ness (2-1, 7.00 ERA), redshirt freshman Ben Snyder (1-3, 5.83) and sophomore Ryan DeGeeter (0-2, 13.17) are the likely starting pitchers for BSU.

Senior left fielder Marc Franz leads the team with a .397 average, 27 hits and a .485 slugging percentage. Juniors Brad Miller (first base) and Mike Sullivan (center field) are hitting at .303 and .300 clips, respectively. Second baseman Jason Bucholtz is hitting .294 and leads the team with 15 runs scored. Third baseman C.J. Webb has batted in 14 runs and Franz 13.
