Ball State makes another road trip this weekend, this time to State College, Pa. for the Penn State Challenge Cup. The team returns home next weekend for a tri-meet with Miami and Western Michigan.
Among Ball State's top performers this season have been junior distance runner Jill Scully, junior sprinter Crystal Winfrey and freshman sprinter Yvonne Ferguson.
Scully was BSU's top finisher at last weekend's Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame, taking second in the 5,000 meters. Winfrey won the 400 at the Ohio State Invite the weekend before that. Ferguson has also starred in the 400, but in the team's first meet, the Ball State Open, she broke the school record in the 300.
